A human has many dreams (wishes) and this wish list seems to expand as one grows up ! Sadly , sometimes , we keep adding but not actually living our dreams . One such dream of mine is THEATRE - DRAMA - PLAY , whatever you call it. I love watching Drama and I love Museum Theatre Chennai. Watching plays over there had filled me with a wish of doing it myself. Then , came college with enormous opportunities . But , again , I was held up with learning foreign languages (which i no longer remember).Finally, when I decided that I would do it no matter what; atleast in my final year , there was an announcement that this year there woul not be any college production.
So with this wish on the back-burner , I was proceeding on with life, when one day I stumbled upon a call for auditions in MY LITTLE THEATRE group (courtesy - The Hindu ) .I was elated. This was my chance :) before I started my professional life with Reliance Oil.I had to somehow make it into the play .Somehow.
ANd the next three days of my life will be memorable for a long time because of KK( Krishna Kumar )and ME .
I had decided to lose all my inhibitions and give my best shot.Over three days , I gave my first piece of acting , my first song to an audience , a completely impromptu performance of acting - verbally and physically . At times , I felt DUMB , at times NERVOUS , and NUMB . But most of the time I felt EXCITED , SURPRISED and HAPPY at and with myself for actually having the guts to do every single task and more than that , experiencing the wonderful feeling of expressing emotions with such rawness , naturally, purely .
I guess DRAMA is more than just acting . Actually its not acting .It is simply LIF(V)E!!
