I write today with no clue about what I want to write. Perhaps, I should just express what's going on in my mind for a really long time now... about that thing called LOVE.
I have always been in doubt about what love is... Is it infinite care for somebody, the feeling that u cannot live without a person? Is it constantly missing a person and wanting to talk all the time ? If love is all of these, then does it not stem from companionship?This companionship , chemistry can happen with a lot of people.You can love being with a lot of people.. You can love talking to somebody all the time.. The companionship will lead to possessiveness.. a sense of belonging. So, the question comes can love happen more than once ?
All of this depends on your definition of love. Influenced by the umpteen movies and novels, we make an image of love in our mind. And only that which meets some criteria becomes the love of our life.What we tend to forget is that each one is unique in our way , then how can we all feel love in the same way ? We might find many people in our life with whom life seems on song. That's quite natural. But after all the initial flutters and attraction is over, the real picture comes to the fore. Understanding prevails.
I believe only one characteristic is common for love... the decision to spend your life with a person.. the feeling that you can be at peace with the person your entire life.That's something phenomenal. Through all the walks of life; even when the other irritates you and make your head go bonkers; you want things to work out. You decide to live with the person because you know that no matter how bad things go , you ll have a reason to live.
Emotions cannot be expressed in words. When emotions are felt through actions, when the world seems a better place, when you have a loving soul to seek shelter in .. I believe that is the thing called LOVE!
